The information you provide during contests and giveaways will be used to support your customer relationship with Vombo. Vombo may ask for contact information (like your email address). We use contact data from these events to send users information about our company and promotional material from some of our partners. The contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. We may combine this information with other data we hold about you.

Information Disclosure

Vombo will not give or sell any information regarding you or your participation in Vombo @ Vidcon to any outside organization for its use in marketing or solicitation without your consent, save for the limited circumstances outlined in this policy. Your information may be shared with group companies, agents, contractors or vendors of Vombo who provide data processing services to us or who otherwise process personal data for the purpose of performing services for Vombo for the purpose notified to you when we collected your personal data. Vombo may release personal data (including personally identifiable information) when required to by law if we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, in response to a lawful request by public authorities, a court order or legal process served on Vombo.

We may also disclose your information if we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of the business or assets. If Vombo or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, personal data held may be one of the transferred assets. Any third party who acquires assets from us may acquire all or part of our business. They may not be in the same line of business as we are. Similarly, your personal information may be passed on to a successor in interest in the event of a reconstruction, liquidation or administration.


While Vombo uses all reasonable efforts to safeguard your personal data, no security program is impenetrable, and criminals have been adept at circumventing widely adopted security safeguards. Accordingly you acknowledge that the use of the internet is not entirely secure and that you provide personal information to Vombo at your own risk. Vombo cannot therefore guarantee the security or integrity of any personal data that are transferred from you or via the internet. Any user or third party accessing Vombo’s website or services is responsible for its own use of the website and the services. Vombo is not responsible for any third party’s actions or its security controls with respect to information that third parties may collect or process via the website, services or otherwise.

Retention of Personal Data

We retain personal data we collect from you where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, to provide you with additional information, updates).

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal data, we will either delete or anonymise it.

Vombo at Vidcon Australian 2019 Competition – Terms and Conditions

Vombo is a brand new app that combines different videos from multiple sources into 1 video clip.

To launch our business, we are running a competition at Vidcon Australia 2019 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf Victoria 2006 (Vidcon Australia 2019). We are calling our competition, “Vombo at Vidcon”.

About our competition

Below are details of our competition:

What prize can I win? Nintendo Switch Console. We will draw 1 console on 21 September 2019 and 1 console on 22 September 2019.
When do I get my prize? On the day of the draw.
How much does it cost to enter? Entry into our competition is free, but you will have to pay for all costs associated with participating in the competition, including internet access and access to the venue. You will also be responsible for all costs associated with collecting and using your prize.
Who can enter our competition? To enter the competition, you must: attend Vidcon Australia 2019 on either 21 or 22 September 2019; be physically present at Vidcon Australia 2019, on the day and time of the draw; participate at one of the two events held by Vombo in Booth 12 of Vidcon Australia 2019 and upload the video resulting from the event to a well known social media channel(s) with the hashtag #letsvombo; and you must be over the age of 18 or have the permission and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is over the age of 18.
Who cannot enter our competition? Employees and contractors of Vombo and their immediate family members cannot enter the competition.
How many times can I enter the competition? Only once each day.
When can I enter the competition? The first day’s competition will start at 8 am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and will end at 3 pm AEST on 21 September 2019. The second day’s competition will start at 8 am AEST and will end at 2 pm AEST on 22 September 2019.
How many prizes can I win? You can only win one prize, on one day. You cannot win 2 prizes on 2 different days.
When will draws be held? First draw: 3:30 pm AEST on 21 September 2019 Second draw: 2:30 pm AEST on 22 September 2019
Where will draws be held? On both days at Vombo Booth 12 at Vidcon Australia 2019.
Where can I find out the results? We will publish the name of the winner of the prize on Vombo’s website,, within 24 hours of each draw.
Where do I collect my prize? You can collect your prize from us, in person only, at the Booth 12 of Vidcon Australia. If you are under 18, you must come with your parent or legal guardian. You and/or your parent or legal guardian will need to bring with you proof of identity (eg driver’s licence, passport or other photographic id).

Important legal stuff

  1. By entering our competition, you will be taken to agree and accept all of these terms and conditions of entry. You will also be required to follow all of these terms and conditions of entry. All of the terms and conditions of entry into our competition are set out in this document only. Nothing we may say to you about the competition forms part of the terms and conditions of entry into our competition.
  2. Our competition will be drawn on a random basis from all eligible entries. Each person who enters the competition will have an equal chance of winning the competition. On each day, the first entry we draw will be the prize winner unless the winner is not physically present at the time of the draw. If the first prize winner drawn is not physically present at the event, then after 30 seconds we will redraw the winner and the prize will be awarded to the next person drawn who is physically present within 30 seconds of that draw.
  3. If a prize winner does not approach us to claim their prize within 30 seconds of a draw, then a redraw will be conducted immediately, in the same location, and following the same method. Redraws will continue in the same manner until all prizes have been claimed by prize winners who are physically present at the time of the draw.
  4. The prize we are awarding cannot be redeemed for cash or another prize. Our prize is also not transferable.
  5. The winner of our prize may be asked to take part in promotional activity related to the prize draw and the winner must take part in such activity. By entering our competition, the winner of a prize will be taken to consent and permit to our use and/or the use by our related companies, both before and after the closing date of the prize draw for an unlimited time, of the winner’s voice, image, photograph and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by Vombo and its related companies) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material. No additional compensation or prior notice will be provided to the prize winner for such promotional activities.
  6. We reserve the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, our competition or prize draw with or without prior notice due to reasons beyond our control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). Our decision in respect of these matters will be final and we will not enter into any discussions with entrants into our competition.
  7. We accept no responsibility for any entry into the competition which is lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by Vombo.
  8. We reserve the right to disqualify any person who enters our competition who has not followed any of these terms and conditions, has engaged in unlawful or improper conduct or otherwise acts to cheat or undermine the fairness of the competition by, for example, tampering with, or using or exploiting errors in, the entry process to obtain a competitive advantage over other entrants.
  9. We have the right to refuse to accept an entry into our competition which is incomplete, difficult to understand, offensive, does not follow these terms and conditions or which breaches any applicable laws or regulations.
  10. We will not be responsible in any way whatsoever for any failure to follow our obligations where the failure is caused by anything beyond our control. This includes, without limitation, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances considered to be force majeure.
  11. Any prize supplied by a third party supplier is subject to the terms and conditions of that third party supplier. A prize we award may come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If those guarantees are not complied with, then you will have rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those guarantees and rights, we will not be liable and exclude all liability (including negligence) for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including without limitation to indirect or consequential loss) for damage to property, personal injury or death suffered or sustained in connection with the competition or the use or taking of any prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law including as provided for under Australian Consumer Law.
  12. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, Vombo and its related companies exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or incurred by any entrant (including a winner) in connection with our competition, including, without limitation:
    1. any indirect, economic or consequential loss;
    2. any loss arising from Vombo’s negligence its related companies; and
    3. any liability for personal injury or death.
  13. We will keep records of our competition for a period of 3 years after the competition. Our records will include, without limitation, accurate financial accounting of the competition and an accurate report of the distribution of prizes.
  14. All taxes which may apply as a consequence of receiving a prize are the sole responsibility of each winner.
  15. Any personal information we obtain from you, as a result of you entering our competition will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with our privacy policy. A copy of our privacy policy is available on our website at All personal information we collect will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, loaned or otherwise disclosed to any third party otherwise than in accordance with our privacy policy and these terms and conditions.
  16. The terms and conditions of our competition are governed only by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. By entering our competition you will be taken to agree to be bound and resolve any disputes about the competition in the Courts and Tribunals of the State of Victoria, Australia, only. You will not be able to have a dispute with us, in any other jurisdiction.
